Ingredients

You’ll just need 3 simple ingredients to make the BEST iced coffee slush ever!

Check your cupboards and fridge, or add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Brewed Coffee – Your favorite blend, brewed hot then chilled in the refrigerator. My homemade Cold Brew Coffee with Grounds can be substituted.
  • Half and Half – To add that rich and creamy base to your coffee slushies. My Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer can be substituted.
  • Sugar – Just your ordinary granulated sugar (white sugar) to add the perfect balance of sweetness to your coffee slush.

You’ll also need a kitchen blender to prepare this sip happy frozen coffee!

Easy Half and Half Substitute

No half and half? No problem! Here’s a simple substitute that works like a charm for a delicious swap in any of your Beverages Recipes that require half and half…

To substitute half and half, you can simply use a ratio of 75% Whole Milk to 25% Heavy Cream.

This ratio creates the perfect blend of creamy perfection, and can be used as a half and half swap for this coffee slush recipe!

Plus, if you keep these ingredients on hand, you can use this simple little trick any other time you run out of half and half!

How to Make a Coffee Slushie

Like all of my Frozen Slushie Drinks, it’s wildly easy to make this frozen coffee slushie recipe at home!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Brew up some of your favorite Coffee.

2. Pour a portion of your brewed coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze.

3. Transfer the rest of your brewed coffee to the refrigerator to chill.

4. When you’re ready to prepare this frozen iced coffee recipe, just blend your coffee slush ingredients as specified.

Doubling Recipe Tip

If doubling or tripling recipe with buttons below, ingredient notes found after comma will not adjust. Increase ingredients as needed.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Brewed Coffee, (chilled in refrigerator)
  • 1/4 cup Half and Half
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

Instructions 

  • Gather your coffee slush ingredients.
    Coffee and half and half.
  • Brew a pot of your favorite drip Coffee and chill in fridge.
  • Pour 1.5 cups chilled Coffee into ice cube tray, and place in freezer for a minimum of 4 hours – must be completely frozen.
  • Store remaining 1/2 cup of Coffee in refrigerator.
  • Once Coffee cubes have frozen, transfer 1/2 of them to a blender.
  • Then pour in 1/2 cup chilled Coffee to blender.
  • Add 1/4 cup Half and Half + 2 Tbsp Sugar to blender, and blend well.
  • Add remaining frozen Coffee cubes to blender.
  • Continue blending until well combined, then transfer your coffee slush to a glass or cute mason jars.

  • Top off with whip cream, serve with a straw, and ENJOY!

    I’ve never been much of a Starbucks guy myself. I just prefer my coffee at home. But I will say that this coffee slush is a copycat that I definitely need to make! I love coffee in recipes – whether its fun coffee drinks like this one or even desserts. I should make some extra coffee this morning and freeze it for later in the week – thanks for the easy idea here!
