Keep your chicken dinner ridiculously simple with this easy Italian Chicken Marinade!

You know how much I love easy recipes, and this Italian Dressing Chicken Marinade is one of my family’s favorites. It really doesn’t get much easier than this!
Here’s what you need to do to get this tasty Italian chicken marinating…

Easy Italian Chicken Marinade
Easy Italian Chicken Marinade!
Ingredients
- 3 pounds thin sliced or flattened Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 8 ounces Italian Dressing
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced {optional}
- ½ White Onion sliced {optional}
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to Freezer Ziploc Bag.
- Place in the refrigerator to marinate, turning and flipping every few hours if desired.
- When ready for dinner {after several hours of marinating, or up to a day later}, remove the chicken from the bag, toss the marinade out, and get ready to grill!
- Grill your pre-marinated chicken on the grill outside {8 minutes on each side at 400 degrees or until internal temperature of your chicken is 165 degrees}, or on a grill pan inside.
- If you’re not ready to cook it yet… after adding the chicken and marinade to the bag, place directly in the freezer for some pre-marinated chicken later! {just pull out of the freezer, and defrost in the fridge… letting all of the yummy flavors soak into the chicken} prior to cooking.
Notes
It’s SO easy… we’ve even taken this camping, and grilled it on our little bbq at dinner time for a nice alternative to burgers and hot dogs! 😉

I cook the chicken in the marinade, at the end the chicken gets carmalized with the yummy Italian dressing, we serve it with rice and veggies, super yummy!! I also like the use the white meat tenderloins for this recipe, they seem to absorb more flavor!

I have been making this for years and everyone always raves about it. Like another commenter, I just bake my chicken in the oven in the Italian dressing, just pour it right over the top of the chicken. People fight for seconds on this and also want extra of the marinade that baked with the chicken. They will dip every bite of chicken into it, and always ask for my recipe. They looked puzzled when I say ” sure, pour Italian dressing over chicken and bake it”. They can’t believe it is that easy. I even cooked for awhile for some rich people and some of their dinner guests would beg for my recipe. Told them the same thing. I have not tried just marinating the chicken in the dressing and then grilling, but I bet it is delicious, am going to try it.
