Show your sweetie some love with Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 pkg. Chocolate Chips {semi-sweet or dark}
  • 1 pkg. White Baking Chips  {if making a smaller batch, just use 1/2 of the package}
  • Big, Juicy Strawberries {yum!}
  • Wax Paper
  • Squeeze Bottle  {optional}

What You’ll Do:

First, place a sheet of wax paper on your cookie sheet.

Then… wash your strawberries, and dry completely.  {it’s very important they are dry when you go to dip them}

You can melt chocolate in your double boiler or by simmering on your stove, but my favorite method is… in the microwave!  {easy!}

Start by microwaving dark chocolate chips for 30 seconds {in microwave safe bowl}, then stir.  Then… continue to microwave in 10 second increments, stirring each time just until they’re melted and smooth.  {be careful not to overdo it}  I usually wait until just a few pieces are left in chocolate chip form, and stir until smooth.

Hold strawberry by the stem, and carefully dip in melted dark or semi-sweet chocolate.  As you lift the strawberry up from the chocolate, twist and twirl to let the excess chocolate drip off, then carefully place on the wax paper-lined cookie sheet.

After all strawberries have been dipped and placed on the cookie sheet, melt the white chocolate chips {just like we melted the chocolate earlier}.

Once it’s creamy and smooth, drizzle over strawberries using a squeeze bottle with a narrow spout, or you could also use a fork dipped in and drizzled over.

Place in refrigerator, and let the chocolate set as it cools.  {approx. 30 minutes}

ENJOY!! ;)
