Check your cupboards, pantry, or fridge… or add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…
- Chocolate Chips
- White Baking Chips
- Fresh Strawberries
As far as the chocolate chips go, I like to use either Semi-Sweet or Dark Chocolate Chips.
How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries
You won’t believe how simple these gourmet chocolate strawberries are to make!
Here’s what you’ll do…
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
Then wash and dry your strawberries.
Melt your chocolate in a double boiler on your stove, or in your microwave.
Next, hold the strawberry by the stem, and carefully dip it into the melted chocolate. Twist a little when you’re pulling it back out to make sure any excess drips off.
Carefully Place the strawberries on a cookie sheet.
Then melt the white baking chips.
Transfer the melted white baking chips to a ziploc bag with the tip cut off, or a squeeze bottle with a narrow spout, or use a fork to drizzle over the dark chocolate covered strawberries.
Transfer your cookie sheet to the fridge and allow to chill for at least 30 minutes prior to serving. ENJOY!

These are always the star of the show for your next Red, White, and Blue celebration.
Use melted white chocolate to dip your strawberries into, then roll the tips in a colored Sugar Sprinkle.
You’ll need about 2 tablespoons of colored sugar sprinkles for every 24 strawberries you dip.
The color of sugar sprinkles you choose could be easily customized to your event!

Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 ounces Chocolate Chips (1 package of semi-sweet or dark)
- 6 ounces White Baking Chips (½ of 12 ounce package)
- 32 ounces Strawberries (30-40 strawberries total)
Instructions
- First, place a sheet of wax paper on your cookie sheet.
- Then… wash your strawberries, and dry completely. (It’s very important they are DRY when you go to dip them.)
- Now it's time to melt the chocolate! You can melt chocolate in your double boiler, by simmering on your stove, or if you're in a hurry... in the microwave.
- When microwaving chocolate, start by microwaving dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips for 30 seconds in microwave safe bowl, then stir. Then… continue to microwave in 10 second increments, stirring each time just until they’re melted and smooth. (be careful not to overdo it) I usually wait until just a few pieces are left in chocolate chip form, and stir until smooth.
- Hold strawberry by the stem, and carefully dip in melted chocolate. As you lift the strawberry up from the chocolate, twist and twirl to let the excess chocolate drip off, then carefully place on the wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
- After all strawberries have been dipped and placed on the cookie sheet, melt the white chocolate chips. (Just like we melted the dark chocolate earlier.)
- Once it’s creamy and smooth, drizzle over strawberries using a squeeze bottle with a narrow spout, or you could also use a fork dipped in and drizzled over.
- Place in refrigerator, and let the chocolate set as it cools. (approx. 30 minutes})ENJOY!!
