Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Chocolate Chips (1 package of semi-sweet or dark)
  • 6 ounces White Baking Chips (½ of 12 ounce package)
  • 32 ounces Strawberries (30-40 strawberries total)

Instructions

  • First, place a sheet of wax paper on your cookie sheet.
  • Then… wash your strawberries, and dry completely. (It’s very important they are DRY when you go to dip them.)
  • Now it's time to melt the chocolate! You can melt chocolate in your double boiler pot, by simmering on your stove, or if you're in a hurry... in the microwave.
  • When microwaving chocolate, start by microwaving dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips for 30 seconds in microwave safe bowl, then stir. Then… continue to microwave in 10 second increments, stirring each time just until they’re melted and smooth. (be careful not to overdo it) I usually wait until just a few pieces are left in chocolate chip form, and stir until smooth.
  • Hold strawberry at the top, and carefully dip in melted chocolate. As you lift the strawberry up from the chocolate, twist and twirl to let the excess chocolate drip off, then carefully place on the wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
  • After all strawberries have been dipped and placed on the cookie sheet, melt the white chocolate chips. (Just like we melted the dark chocolate earlier.)
  • Once it’s creamy and smooth, drip over strawberries using a squeeze bottle with a narrow spout, or you could also use a fork dipped in and drizzled over.
  • Place in refrigerator, and let the chocolate set as it cools. (approx. 30 minutes}) ENJOY!!

Notes

  • This makes a great amount for a party, but for smaller batches, recipe can easily be cut in half.
