  • Asian Sesame Salad Dressing – Combines with honey to create your honey sesame sauce for chicken.
  • Honey – See How to Soften Honey.
  • Optional: Sesame Seeds – For a garnish.
  • Optional: Sliced Green Onions – For a garnish.

Like most of my easy 5 Ingredient Crock Pot Meals, you’ll also need a 5 – 6 quart Crock Pot to get the job done.

How To Make Honey Sesame Chicken

It’s actually SO easy to make this tempting sesame honey chicken recipe in your slow cooker!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Cook the chicken in your crockpot, and then drain and discard the juices.

2. Then pour the honey sesame sauce for mixture over your chicken and continue cooking.

3. Once done, serve it topped with the optional sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Cook Time: 3 hours 30 minutes
Total Time: 3 hours 35 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 3 lbs. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, thawed
  • 1 cup Asian Sesame Salad Dressing, (8 ounces)
  • ¾ cup Honey
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Seeds, (Optional)
  • 2 Green Onions, chopped (Optional)

Instructions 

  • Gather your ingredients.
    Sesame dressing and honey.
  • Cook chicken in Crockpot on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours (covered)
  • After 3 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW, drain juices from Crockpot.
  • Thoroughly mix together Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing and Honey.
  • Pour mixture over chicken, and cook on HIGH for 30 more minutes (covered), or until done.

    Can you add the sauces with the chicken all at once, then let it all the ingredients cook all day together?

      You technically can, but it would really water down the sauce and dilute the flavor. By draining the juices and adding the sauce at the end, you’ll end up with a much thicker, more flavorful sauce. 🙂

    I was wondering if you could do the last 30 minutes in the oven to help brown the chicken a little bit and maybe carmelize the sauce? Or would this just dry out the chicken?
