When it comes to baking an apple cake, you’ll want to use Apple Pie Filling for soft, flavorful apples that will bake seamlessly into the cake.  

You can use store bought cans of apple pie filling, or you can even make your own!

How to Make Apple Angel Food Cake

It’s actually SO easy to make this Cinnamon Apple Angel Food Dump Cake Recipe!  

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Mix your Cake Mix, Cinnamon, and Pie Filling in a large bowl.

2. Transfer your mixture into an ungreased 9×13 ceramic baking dish.

3. Bake your cake in the oven until the top is golden brown.

4. Then, let your cake cool after baking.

Cinnamon Apple Angel Food Dump Cake Recipe

This 3 ingredient Cinnamon Apple Angel Food Dump Cake Recipe is deliciously cozy, done in a snap, and will give you some well deserved household fame!

Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 16 ounce Betty Crocker Angel Food Cake Mix box (make sure to use the 'just add water' variety)
  • 21 ounces Apple Pie Filling can, (or use homemade Apple Pie Filling)
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • Optional: Cool Whip for Topping

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir powder cake mix, cinnamon, and pie filling together with a large wooden spoon.
  • Transfer mixture into 9x13 ungreased glass or ceramic baking dish. (Do NOT grease pan)
  • Bake for 30 - 35 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
  • After baking, it is completely normal for your cake to fall in the middle as it cools.
  • Cut into 12 squares, and top with optional whip cream and additional sprinkles of cinnamon on top.  ENJOY!
