  • Pork Loin – Trimmed of excess fat.
  • Sweet and Sour Sauce – Or use a double batch of my homemade Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe.
  • Pineapple Chunks  – I recommend using a high quality brand for best flavor.
  • Pineapple Juice – To sweeten things up even more!
  • Optional: Green Onions – For a fresh and savory garnish.
  • Optional: Sesame Seeds – For garnish.

How To Make Pork Sweet and Sour

You won’t believe how easy it is to prepare this slow cooker sweet and sour pork with pineapple.

This tasty pork dinner requires only a few easy steps…

1. First, you’ll place your cubed pork and pineapple juice in a gallon freezer bag to marinate. This will prepare your sweet and tender pork tenderloin for the slow cooker.

2. Then you’ll cook your pork in the crockpot as specified.

3. When done, you’ll need to drain and discard the juices from the crockpot. This will ensure a thicker more flavorful sauce.

4. Add your pineapple pieces to the slow cooker.

5. Then pour the sauce over your pork and pineapple, before placing the lid back on the crockpot.

6. Complete cooking as directed. Then… serve and enjoy! Trust me, Pork Dinner Recipes don’t get much simpler or tastier than this!

Ingredients 

  • 3 pounds Pork Loin, fresh or thawed
  • 24 ounces Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce, (2 bottles, 12 ounces each)
  • 20 ounce Dole Pineapple Chunks, (1 can)
  • 3 cups Dole Pineapple Juice
  • Optional: Green Onions, chopped
  • Optional: Sesame Seeds, for garnish

Instructions 

  • Gather your ingredients.
    Ingredients for sweet and sour pork including sweet and sour sauce, and pineapple juice and chunks.
  • Trim off any excess fat from Pork Loin, then cube into 1″ pieces.
  • Place cubed pork into Gallon sized Ziploc Bag, then pour Pineapple Juice into the bag as well.
  • Let pork marinade in pineapple juice in the refrigerator for 2+ hours, or overnight.
  • When ready to cook, place both Pork and Marinade in a 5 – 6 quart Crockpot and cook on LOW for 3 hours
  • After 3 hours, discard juices from crockpot, and add Sweet & Sour Sauce and drained Pineapple Chunks to crockpot, and stir well to combine with pork pieces.

  • Cover Crockpot and cook on High for 30 more minutes, or until done.

  • Serve over cooked White Rice, and top with optional Green Onions and Sesame Seeds. ENJOY!
