Can You Freeze Raw Eggs for Later Use?

So how do you freeze eggs for long term storage?
It’s actually SO easy!
You just need eggs, a silicone muffin mold, and a gallon sized ziploc bag!
What You’ll Need to Freeze Eggs

- Fresh Eggs
- Nonstick Cooking Spray (works MUCH better than traditional muffin tins)
- Silicone Muffin Mold
- Small Cookie Sheet
How to Freeze Eggs in Muffin Tins
First you’ll want to place your silicone muffin mold on a small cookie sheet. This will help support the shape once you fill it with eggs.
Now spray each section lightly with nonstick cooking spray.

Then one by one, just whisk your egg lightly in a small bowl or glass measuring cup, then pour each whisked egg into one individual section of a silicone cupcake liner.
Carefully place tray and mold with eggs into the freezer and flash freeze for about 5 hours, or until eggs have frozen completely.
After eggs have frozen, simply remove them from your silicone muffin mold. Try pressing up from underneath, and they should just pop right out.
Transfer frozen eggs to a Gallon Freezer Ziploc Bag, removing as much air as possible, and place back in your freezer.
Eggs can last up to 6 months in the freezer.

What Your Frugal Friends Are Saying about Freezing Eggs…
Laurel writes: “We have 15 hens and have surplus eggs and freeze them.”
Angela writes: “I’ve been doing this for years. My hens produce more than we can eat or sell. It’s not uncommon for me to have 8-12 dozen eggs in a large basket on my counter in the kitchen. I found that using a silicone mold to crack the eggs into works best, that way you can just peel the eggs out. I tried regular muffin tins and it was so hard to do.”
Joanna writes: “I usually freeze the egg whites when I just need the yolks.”
