Nothing beats a delicious bowl of soup on a chilly day, and it’s time you meet the Best Loaded Baked Potato Soup Recipe Ever!  It’s Easy to make and ridiculously delicious.  With chunky potato pieces, flavor packed bacon, and fresh shredded cheddar, you really can’t go wrong with this simple stove top recipe!

So just how do you make baked potato soup?  It’s SO easy, and this hearty One Pot soup will hit the spot ever time!

Loaded Baked Potato Soup Recipe

Craving some delicious soup?  You've just found the Best Loaded Baked Potato Soup Recipe Ever!  Easy and so delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • ½ cup Flour
  • 8 cups Milk
  • 4 large Baking Potatoes baked, peeled & cubed. {I microwave mine, let them cool, then peel and cut}
  • 16 oz. Bacon Cooked and Crumbled {see tip for Perfect Crispy Bacon}
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • Âľ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Pepper
  • Green Onions chopped {see trick for Growing Green Onions Again and Again!}

Instructions

  • Melt butter in Dutch Oven over Low heat.
  • Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly, then cook mixture for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Increase heat to Medium and gradually stir in milk.
  • Cook until slightly thickened, about 15 minutes.
  • Add potatoes, stirring occasionally until soup begins to bubble.
  • Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  • Add Crumbled Bacon, Shredded Cheddar, Sour Cream, Salt and Pepper, and stir until cheese is melted.
  • Serve hot, topped with Green Onions and ENJOY!!

    Sooo yummy! My husband is counting calories so I figured out the calorie count if anyone else needs it!

    It makes about 18 cups at 5062 calories for the whole meal soo about 280 calories per cup!
