One of the best ways to eat healthier is by using Healthy Baking Substitutions for Oil!

On the hunt for more Healthy Baking Substitutions for Oil?

In addition to substituting Greek Yogurt for Oil, I’ve got another favorite trick I use!

Another simple trick for healthy baking is to simply substitute the Canola Oil in a recipe for Applesauce!  Here’s what you’ll do…

#1: How to Substitute Applesauce for Oil

If a recipe calls for 1/2 cup Oil, simply use 1/2 cup Applesauce instead!  The results will be delicious and moist baked goods!

Or… if you’re not ready to go full fledge yet… you can start gradually, too!  So rather than 1/2 cup oil, you could use 1/4 cup oil + 1/4 cup applesauce.  It’s such an easy way to healthy up your recipes! 😉

Note: this substitution trick works best with Cakes, Cookies and Breads.

#2: How to Substitute Yogurt for Oil in Baking

Another easy trick when baking is to simply swap out the Canola Oil or Vegetable Oil in a recipe for Greek Yogurt!  Using Greek Yogurt as a Baking Substitute for Canola Oil is an easy way to bake more with less guilt!!

Here’s how it works…

If a recipe calls for 1 cup Oil, simply use 3/4 cup Greek Yogurt instead!

Or… if you’re not ready to go full fledge yet… you can start gradually, too!  So rather than 1 cup Oil, you could use 1/2 cup oil + 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt + 2 tbsp Greek Yogurt.   It’s such an easy way to give your favorite baked goods a healthy makeover!

Note: this substitution trick works best with Cakes and Brownies.
