Why Do Peanut Butter Cookies Have Fork Marks?

As you’re stirring your peanut butter cookie dough, you’ll notice how thick and dense it is.

That’s why after you form the dough into balls, you’ll want to flatten out each cookie so they cook evenly.

Using a fork is a simple way to flatten a cookie, and this method creates such a fun pattern on top!

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies Without Flour

Making these old fashioned chewy peanut butter cookies without flour is such a cinch!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Start by stirring together your ingredients in a mixing bowl.

2. Then transfer the dough to the fridge to chill.

3. Once your dough has chilled, form the chilled dough into cookie dough balls, and flatten/crease in a criss cross pattern with a fork.

4. Bake your cookies per the instructions in the recipe card below.

5. Once done, allow them to cool on wire racks, and ENJOY!

Of course with quick and easy dessert recipes like these 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies, one batch is rarely enough. So repeat these steps as necessary… until every last cookie craving has been satisfied! 🙂
