  • Creamy Peanut Butter – these bars work best with a classic Jif or Skippy creamy peanut butter (do not use a natural peanut butter for this recipe, where the oils could separate).
  • Milk Chocolate Chips – Use high quality chocolate chips, like Ghirardelli or Nestle, for the best flavor!
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Salted Butter – if using unsalted butter, you’ll need to add 1/2 teaspoon salt to the recipe.

How to Make Peanut Butter Bars

It’s actually SO simple to make your own no bake peanut butter bars, and they really do taste just like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!

Here’s how to make peanut butter chocolate chip bars the EASY way…

1. Crush the Graham Crackers into crumbs.

2. Mix together your ingredients thoroughly, as directed.

3. Smooth mixture into 9×13 baking dish.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Honey Maid Graham Crackers, finely crushed, (approx. 2 ‘sleeves’)
  • cup Creamy Peanut Butter, (like Jif or Skippy, not a natural peanut butter)
  • 1 cup Salted Butter, melted (if using unsalted butter, you'll want to add 1/2 tsp. salt to the mixture)
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 11.5 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips (1 bag), (use high quality chocolate chips, like Ghirardelli or Nestle, for the best flavor)

Instructions 

  • Gather your ingredients.
    Peanut Butter Bar ingredients including chocolate chips, graham crackers, and peanut butter.
  • Crush graham crackers into crumbs.
  • Mix Graham Cracker Crumbs, Powdered Sugar, Melted Butter, and 1 cup of the Peanut Butter in mixing bowl.
  • Press mixture into a 9×13 ungreased glass baking dish, and set aside.
  • Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl with remaining ¼ cup of peanut butter, and microwave for 45 seconds, then stir. Microwave again for 30 seconds, then stir until melted. (You may need to microwave one more time for 30 seconds, then stir.)
  • Spread melted chocolate mixture evenly over peanut butter mixture in baking dish.

  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow the bars to firm up.

  • When ready to enjoy, remove from refrigerator for 10 minutes, allowing the bars to just slightly warm up. Then cut into squares and devour!
  • Storage Tip: Leftovers can be stored covered, in an airtight container in the refrigerator, for up to 5 days.

      A stick of butter is 4 oz. or 8 Tbs.or 1/2 cup or 24 tsp.

    Fabulous! The only change I made was shortening the microwave time for the chocolate chip mix. My microwave is higher wattage. So – I did the initial 45 seconds, stirred, then 20 seconds, stirred, then 10 seconds. Perfect.
