  1. Melissa says:

My crockpot only has 4 hrs 6 hrs 8 hrs 10hrs
the 4 and 6 are high and 8 and q0 are low
    Which setting should I use?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Melissa ~ you could try the 4 hour high setting, but you will need to remove it about 2.5 hours early. When cooked on high, this recipe only takes about 1.5 hours to finish.

  2. Melissa says:

Hi, I’m so excited to make this! Got everything I need but I want to double the recipe. Do I need to cook it longer if I’m doubling the recipe?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Melissa ~ if doubling the recipe I would recommend either using two separate crockpots and cooking the regular amount in each, or using a larger crockpot and lengthening the time a bit. ENJOY!

  3. Tami says:

Hi, my crockpot just quit workingcan I bake this in the oven?

  4. Rosemary sheltra says:

    Can I use frozen shrimp?

    1. Heidi says:

  6. Dana Neel says:

If I add chicken, does it have to be cooked first?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Dana ~ yes, if you’d like to add in chicken, I would recommend cooked shredded or cubed chicken.

  7. Christie says:

Yum that sounds so good and creamy! I am such a big fan of alfredo pasta so having it with tortellini pasta would be sooo comforting! Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!

    1. Heidi says:

You’re very welcome, Christie! It really is the ultimate comfort food combo! 🙂

  8. Nicole says:

Can I use the dry tortellini? If so, do I need to change the recipe at all?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Nicole ~ the refrigerated tortellini really works best in this recipe.

  9. Carlie says:

Hey there, my grocery store substitutes the tortellini for the dry kind in a box 🙁 do you think it will get cooked just by being in the pot for 3 hours or do you think I need to boil them before placing them in? I just don’t want them all soggy.

  10. Michelle Tanner says:

I am wanting to make your crockpot alfredo tortellini, but I was wondering if it would work to use frozen tortellini?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Michelle ~ yes, you can use frozen tortellini, but you may need to extend the cook time. Hope that helps!
