Do i season my chicken first or not season it at all?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Tierra ~ you can season with a little salt and pepper, but it’s not necessary. 🙂

Hello, I just found this recipe and I’m going to use it for my super bowl party tonight! I plan to grill the chicken wings first (us in the middle of winter with snow on the ground haha!) and then add them to the crock pot with the bbq/root beer mixture… Any advice for that method?

    1. Aubree says:

If you’re grilling them, I might just mix the BBQ sauce and root beer and brush it on while on the grill. Maybe set some sauce aside to use for dipping, too.

  4. mike says:

How much root beer and how much bbq sauce do you mix together?

    Thanks

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Mike ~ you’ll mix the entire bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce with 1/2 can of the Root Beer. Hope that helps! ENJOY!

  5. liz says:

Do you put just the chicken in the slow cooker for 2.5 hours with no liquid at all?

    1. Heidi says:

Yes… the chicken will end up cooking in its own juices. Hope that helps! 😉

  6. Sandi says:

it says 12-14 wings…is it whole wings or separate? I imagine the recipe can be doubled, will it need more cooking time or the same?
