Hi fellow Frugal Girls! For this party, I used a lime green twin size flat sheet for the table cloth and put craft supplies in cute tin buckets.
The buckets were purchased at Target from the Dollar Spot section.
I made the flower centerpieces from clearance items as well.
Then, I picked up the flower charger and dot napkins from Hobby Lobby.
I purchased a small chocolate fountain and the girls dipped strawberries and marshmallows in it.
They had a LOT of fun!

Girls Slumber Party Favors
Hailey and I made their goodie baskets with spa essentials (picked up from the Dollar Store) as well as their craft items.
They colored their own pillowcase and made fabric flip flops.
The baskets were purchased from the Dollar Tree and we cut out their names from scrapbook paper using a personal cutting system.

Spin the Bottle Nail Polish Game
I made this game – a “new” version of spin the bottle!
Each girl took turns spinning, and when it landed on a color they had to paint 1 toe (or finger) with that particular color.
When it landed on the other spaces they could pick their favorite color.
The girl who had all nails painted first won a prize.

Here are the girls after the Spin the Bottle Nail Polish Game…

Girl Slumber Party Crafts
Here was craft time – as they color their own pillowcases purchased from ColorTime.
Note: They were the most expensive part of her party supplies.

Flip Flop Craft
I pre-cut strips of tulle and fabric for them to tie onto inexpensive flip flops we purchased.
They LOVED this craft!!!
All the girls were able to wear their flip flops home after the party.
Frugal friend Marion writes: "My granddaughters loved this craft! Ages 4-12."
Wasn’t that such a great party?
Thanks so much to Christina for sharing!

Here’s another fun flip flop variation you could make at your Sleepover parties, too…
How to Make Flower Flip Flops

What You’ll Need
Flip Flops (I found some on sale for 60 cents per pair at Michael’s!)

Silk Floral Stems (I found some for $1.00/bunch at Michael’s)

Jewels (can be found at any craft store)
Hot Glue

What You’ll Do
1. Take apart flower by removing stem, plastic backing, and center of flower.

2. These flowers had several layers, so I added just a smidge of hot glue between each layer to keep them together.
3. Then, add hot glue to the back of a jewel, and place it in the center.
I use the hot setting on my glue g*n. The lower temperature glue won’t work well, so make sure it’s hot… but no burning fingers, okay?? 😉

4. Add hot glue to the top center of the flip flop straps, then press flower on.

5. Now… if you live in a hot, hot, hot climate… you could also attach these with thread and needle, to make sure they’re extra secure.

Good job… you did it! Wasn’t that easy??
These took me about 5 minutes per pair to make ~ so this is definitely a quick project!
How Much Did it Cost?
- Flip Flops (60 cents on sale at Michael’s)
- Silk Flowers ($1.00 per bunch on sale at Michael’s)
- Jewels ($2.99 for pack of 55 at Michael’s)
- Total Cost per pair: About $1.65!!

I just turned 11 on the 17th of April and I wanted to do something fun for my birthday. My mom said she doesn’t want to spend too much money. I decided to do a slumber party which is inexpensive and you don’t have to have a limit of people. I am only going to invite maybe 4 people. Thank you every one for the great party ideas!
I turn 11 on January 2nd and needed last minute ideas so I started doing some research and this was the 4th or 5th site I came to, all of the ideas were great especially color themed party that sounds like a lot of fun! Thanks for all of your ideas!
Yeah ha i put my name as Nat last time i post a message silly me!
You can play truth or dare by getting a box writing some truths and dares down on cards and putting it in the box then you pick a card and do it what it says for example: truth:when was the last time you picked your nose? and dare:sing a full song in front of everybody.
That ones good but I the the spin nail polish game awsome!!!!!!!*!*!**
Such great ideas that I viewed ALL of your ads and then pinned you on Pinterest 🙂
Thank You for ideas. My daughter will be turning 10 this year and Im already planning and looking. She wanted a slumber sleepover party for her 10th and this is a big deal for her. I love all of your ideas, and I will be using your ideas too. Thanks Ulu.

Thought this slumber party theme was absolutely awesome. Made me wish my daughter was younger again. Thank you for sharing.
How FUN! I’m all about the DIY parties for girls…I have 2 little ones and we’ve had many themed girlie parties. One year we did a posh tea party with mini treats and rhinestone crafts (all found at the $1 store). The next year we had a “girls day in” Spa Day. Each girl received a mini facial, pedicure, and we did a little funky yoga to music of their choice. All girls wore their best comfy clothes & I enlisted my best friend in helping with all of the spa treatments. 🙂
