What You’ll Need to Grow Rosemary Cuttings
You’ll just need a few simple things to get started…
- Healthy Rosemary Clippings from Main Rosemary Plant
- Small Jar or glass
- Fresh Water

How to Grow Rosemary from Cuttings in Water
You honestly won’t believe how simple it is to grow rosemary from clippings!
Are you ready to get propagating?
Here’s what you’ll do…
1. Cut your Rosemary Clippings from your main rosemary plant.
2. Be sure to cut clippings from the newer green growth. Once the older growth develops a woodier stem, it will not sprout roots as easily.
3. Remove leaves about half way up the clippings.
4. Place your stems in a small jar of water, and put in a well lit spot in your home.
5. Change the water to freshen it up every few days.
6. After several weeks, roots should begin to sprout. Mine started around the two week point.
Once you have a cluster of several strong roots, the clipping can be transplanted to a pot of dirt for your indoor herb garden, or outdoor herb garden.
You’re done!
See… I told you this was going to be easy!!
How Do You Make Rosemary Bushier?
To grow bushier rosemary plants you’ll want to make sure to always snip or pinch just above leaf nodes.
This will cause the new growth to grow 2 new stems.
