- 3 cups Hot Water
- 6 Cinnamon Sticks

How to Make Christmas Simmer Pots
1. Add all ingredients to 2 – 3 quart sauce pan, stir, place on stove, bring to a gentle boil, then immediately turn heat down and allow to simmer on LOW.
2. The scent will gradually start drifting through you home.
3. Add additional hot water as necessary to keep the air freshener going all day. (I usually add more water every 1.5 – 2 hours or so… just make sure you don’t run out of water.)
Frugal tip: You can even save the ingredients and use them again the next day! At the end of the day, just transfer to a large mason jar with some water and place in the refrigerator.
Then the next day, pour back into your sauce pan.
Add water to get the level back up to 3 cups, and simmer away!

Crockpot Christmas Simmer Pot Instructions (for smaller spaces)

1. Add all ingredients to 2 quart Mini Crockpot, Stir, and Cover with lid.
2. Cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
3. After 1 hour, remove lid and let simmer on HIGH for hours of yummy air freshening!

Solved that problem. My son bought me a little crock pot, like a 2 quart. Too small for a meal for 4, so I use it for my cinnamon and clove mixture. I don’t have to worry about it for several hours and it smells great. Sometimes I add pumpkin pie spice to it, too!”
Now if you don’t have any Pumpkin Pie Spice on hand, don’t worry. You can make your own… it’s so EASY!

Can I just keep it on the stove and use it everyday….or will it get bad???
Hi Judy ~ I’ve found that it lasts significantly longer if you refrigerate it overnight between uses. Hope that helps!
where can I get the red mini crockpot?
Hi Carol ~ I actually picked that up several years ago at Target, although it looks like it’s no longer available. I would check Macy’s or JCPenney online… it looks like they currently have some red mini crockpots available. Hope that helps! 🙂
