Oh Heidi these would NOT last long in my house! I love snack type nibbles like this and honestly I’d definitely have to make a double or triple batch just to ensure I had leftovers! These are definitely on the menu for the game this weekend!

    1. Heidi Miller says:

You definitely won’t be disappointed Lori. Besides being crazy easy to prepare… they also have a tendency to disappear crazy fast, too!

  2. Linda Voyzey says:

Can you use diet pepsi instead of coke?

    1. Heidi Miller says:

      Hi Linda,

I don’t recommend using Diet Pepsi or other drinks with artificial sweeteners, as those sweeteners do not handle the heat well, and may break down and taste kind of weird after cooking.

For a lower sugar alternative, I would recommend my bbq ranch kielbasa, as it uses ranch seasoning instead of coca cola.

      Hope this helps ~ Heidi

Hi Heidi! I tried this recipe last night and the whole family loved it! It was truly delicious!

I wanted to ask you, though, what is the purpose of adding the Cola Cola to the BBQ sauce? All we could taste was the BBQ, so that got me wondering…

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Darien ~ I’m so glad everyone loved it! The Coca-Cola simply adds a bit of sweetness and thins the sauce down a bit to keep the sausage moist and delicious. 😉
