On the hunt for another easy craft… that could also make a fabulous thrifty gift?

In addition to the DIY Photo Coasters, these DIY Photo Cubes are another quick and easy photo project you’ll love!

I spotted a photo cube at my friend Joli’s house, and knew I had to make one, too! ;)

What you’ll Need:

You’ll start with a wooden cube ~ I purchased this one at Michaels {using my 40% off Michaels coupon, of course} ;)

Select a paint color that will coordinate nicely with the photos you’ll be using, and paint each side of the cube.  {I gave my each side two layers of paint, allowing each layer to dry before adding a second coat of paint}.

Now go grab your photos, and trim them down so they’ll fit on the cube.

Guess what ~ it’s… Mod Podge time!!

Yep ~ you know how much I love Mod Podge ~ remember the Photo Coasters, Marble Magnets, Creative Clipboards, and the Super-Cute Letter Art??  Mod Podge is our friend! ;)

Foam Brushes on Sale

Using your foam brush, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge on one side of the cube, then carefully place a photo on the cube.

After you place your picture down, allow to dry completely.  Now continue this same process for each side of the cube.

Now here we go again, but this time we’ll be applying another coat of mod podge on top of the picture… use nice clean strokes from left to right…

Now keep doing the same process, until you’ve complete each side of the cube.  Allow to dry completely, and you’ve got a super-cute photo cube!!

Place it on your desk, a bookshelf, or anywhere you please! ;)  These would also make really cute and thrifty gifts for Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas!

Give it a try… and have FUN! ;)
