Rather than using a cupcake liner, you’ll bake your cupcake right inside of an ice cream cone!

  • Vanilla Cake Mix
  • Eggs
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Ice Cream Cones
  • Frosting
  • Optional: Food Coloring

How Do You Keep Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes From Getting Soggy?

To prevent your ice cream cone cupcakes from getting soggy, here’s what you need to do…

1. Put them in the oven as soon as possible after pouring batter into cones.

2. Bake them the day of the party.

3. Store at room temperature, not in the refrigerator.

Also, I put some chocolate chips in the bottom of the cone before I poured the cupcake mix in. A nice little surprise when you get to the end!”

This Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes Recipe will be the hit of for your birthday parties, slumber parties or Friday night family night!

Ingredients 

  • 11 flat-bottom Ice Cream Cones
  • 13.25 oz Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix, (+ Eggs, Water & Oil per instructions on box)
  • 16 oz Frosting
  • 1 Food Coloring or more to tint frosting , (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place ice cream cones into cupcake tin.
  • Prepare cake batter per instructions, then fill each cone 2/3 full.
  • Bake cupcake cones for 15-20 minutes, or until done. (they'll puff up just like ice cream cones)
  • Remove from oven, cool completely, frost, and enjoy that same day!

Notes

  • Be sure to serve the same day that you make them… if you wait until the next day, the cones will be soggy.
