With this punch it’s best to skip the pitcher.
Instead, I recommend using a punch bowl or individual glasses.
This will ensure your star ingredient of the punch, the lime sherbet, is evenly mixed with the other punch ingredients.
Can I Make This Lime Green Punch Ahead of Time?
To get the best flavors and consistency, I don’t recommend making this punch before your event.
The Sprite and ginger ale will lose their bubbles. Then most importantly, the sherbet will melt.
The trick is to only make as much punch as you need, as this punch doesn’t save well.

Ingredients
- 2 Liter Sprite (1 bottle), chilled
- 2 Liters Ginger Ale (1 bottle), chilled
- 48 ounces Lime Sherbet
Instructions
- In your punch bowl, simply mix the Sprite and Ginger Ale together.
- Then transfer scoops of Sherbet to your punch bowl, serve, and enjoy!

- In addition to serving from a large punch bowl with glasses, you can also serve out of mason jar mugs! SO easy, and oh-so-yummy!!
- Serves approximately 22 one-cup servings. Depending on party size, you may want to double or triple the recipe. When determining amount to make, take into consideration the size of your cups, and also keep in mind that guests may want seconds. ENJOY!

I made this for my moms retirement party. It was a big hit! I did use more sprite than ginger ale though. When I did equal parts it didn’t have that lime green color.
Maybe the kind of ginger ale I used caused it to be a different color than your picture.
I also figured out I needed to add the sherbert first before the soda.

I want to make this for my daughter’s sweet 16, and I’m thinking I’ve had this before but I’m wondering if it can be put in a gallon jug to make like a slush kind of or if it’s just clumps of sherbert floating around it?
Due to the thickness from the sherbet, it will work best served out of a punch bowl.
The lime sherbet punch is making me thirsty. I have made it before but with only the sherbet and sprite, I will need to try it this way. Sounds so good!
