First, head on down to Longoria’s BBQ in the south part of Fort Worth for Sausage made from Brisket, Brisket and a generous portion of Macaroni Salad. In the mood for a Burger? This place also makes a Half Pound Burger that is 50% Brisket! Sausage made from Brisket… who does that?? This is a barbecue lover’s dream come true! The staff is so kind, and may even let you sample some tasty creations before ordering! It’s a simple, laid-back atmosphere with off-the-charts food! And for BBQ, this place was very reasonably priced!
Pecan Lodge

Next, head to downtown Dallas to the now famous Pecan Lodge for some truly amazing Brisket, the Hot Mess (a jumbo sweet potato piled high with South Texas Barbacoa), some crazy good Southern Fried Chicken and a side of Mac ‘n Cheese topped with Smoked Bacon. Be sure to also try the Blueberry Soda and a Texas Tumbleweed Cookie! The cookies are monstrous! Just note: This is a seriously popular restaurant, and lines can get long, so pick an off time of day to visit if you can.
