This Chicken Gravy Recipe is so simple to make, outrageously delicious, and will put any store bought gravy to shame! It will instantly take your mashed potatoes to the next level, and takes just 10 minutes to make! No drippings needed!
1tablespoonChicken Bouillon(Chicken Base can be substituted)
1/4teaspoonOnion Powder
1/8teaspoonBlack Pepper
Instructions
Gather your ingredients.
Add butter to a 10 – 12″ skillet, and melt over medium-high heat.
Then add flour to skillet, stirring constantly until combined with the butter. Immediately after that, begin to whisk in the chicken broth, about 1/4 cup at a time…. whisking continually.
After all chicken broth has been added, continue whisking as you add in the Milk, Chicken Bouillon, Onion Powder, and Black Pepper.
Whisk for a few more minutes as the gravy thickens, then serve and ENJOY!
Notes
This gravy is best served immediately, but leftovers can also be saved and reheated for later. Store in refrigerator and use within 2 days, or freeze and use within 1 week.
When it comes time to reheat, simply warm up in a small pot on the stove, and whisk in some additional milk to smooth out any lumps.
