This easy cinnamon Apple Chips Recipe is your hot ticket to household fame! They're perfectly soft and chewy, with a sweet kiss of cinnamon sugar! You'll just need 4 ingredients!
In small mixing bowl, mix together Cinnamon and Sugar until well combined, then set aside.
Use your 'Johnny Apple Peeler' to peel and thin slice your apples. It’s the best shortcut ever!
Then slice your peeled and thinly sliced apples in half with a knife. Now you’ve got your peeled and sliced apple pieces ready to go!
Soak your Apple Slices for 5 minutes in a large bowl filled with 1/2 cup Lemon Juice and 3 cups water mixture (to avoid browning of apple). Then pat dry apple slices before placing in dehydrator.
Lay your Apple Slices on the dehydrator trays with plenty of space around each one for air circulation.
Place smaller Apple Slices on the bottom trays and larger Apple Slices on the tops trays to ensure even drying.
Generously sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar mixture on Apple Slices. (I like to pour mine in an empty salt or pepper shaker to sprinkle it on.)
Set your dehydrator to 135 - 145 degrees and cook for 6 hours for chewy or 7 hours for crunchier Apple Chips.
Notes
Add extra drying time if you are in a humid climate.
How To Store Cinnamon Apple Chips: The best way to store your apple chips, is in an airtight Ziploc Bag, a Rubbermaid Storage Container or in a Wide Mouth Mason Jar.
