Red Velvet Cake Mix + oil and eggs

Green Licorice Sticks

Cream Cheese Frosting

Red Food Coloring Gel
{for a deep red color}
Instructions
Bake cupcakes per instructions on cake mix box.
While your cupcakes are baking, trim your licorice pieces down to small pieces.
In small mixing bowl, add several drops of Red Food Coloring Gel to your cream cheese frosting, and stir until you achieve your desired color of red.
Frost the cupcakes with a smooth knife, or pipe on frosting using a star tip or flower tip.
Then using a knife, poke a flat slit partway down in the center of the cupcake.
Top your cupcakes with red sprinkles.
Then gently press down a licorice piece in the center slit of each cupcake, and you're done!
