If boiling, wash and peel Sweet Potatoes, cube, and boil until very soft and tender {about 20+ minutes}
Once you have softened Sweet Potatoes, slice open and scoop out softened inside.
Add to Blender or Food Processor {I used my Vitamix}. Then pour in water, and blend or pulse {stirring as necessary}, until you reach desired consistency. {more water can be added for younger babies for a thinner consistency}
Transfer Sweet Potato Puree to baby food storage containers or ice cube trays, and transfer to refrigerator (up to 2 days) or freezer (up to 3 months).
When ready to use frozen food, transfer one portion of frozen baby food to refrigerator to thaw overnight, then pull out before feeding time, allowing it to come to room temperature prior to feeding to baby.
Notes
If storing in the refrigerator, use within 2 days. If storing in the freezer, use within 3 months.This recipe makes approximately 20 one oz. servings, depending on the size of your sweet potatoes.*Water amount will vary depending on how large the sweet potatoes are and the consistency you want for Baby… just make sure it’s not too thick.
