How Do I Know What Size Slow Cooker to Buy?

When shopping for a Crock Pot or Slow Cooker, it’s important to think about what you want to use it for.

• Use a 2 quart slow cooker for preparing Crockpot Dip Recipes.
• 4 quart slow cookers will work best if you are preparing meals for two or making hot drinks.
• For most family sized dinners, you will want a 5.5 – 6 quart slow cooker.
• Get a 7 – 8 quart slow cooker for larger items, like racks of pork ribs.

Can I Use a Crockpot Instead of a Slow Cooker?

Yes!  If you were to shop for a new Crock Pot or Slow Cooker today you would notice very little difference between the two.  They both work essentially the same.  The main differences you’d notice would be the different sizes and features available.
