  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • ¾ cup Sugar + ⅓ cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Ground Cloves
  • 1 tsp. Ginger
  • ¼ cup Molasses
  • 1 cup Butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 egg
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, cream together Butter, Egg and Molasses.
  3. In separate bowl, stir together Flour, ¾ cup Sugar, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Cloves and Ginger.
  4. Gradually pour dry mixture into wet mixture while beating together until well combined.
  5. Reserve remaining ⅓ cup Sugar in small bowl and set aside for later.
  6. Chill dough for 1 hour in refrigerator.
  7. After dough has chilled, roll into small 1″ size balls, roll dough balls in remaining sugar until fully coated, then drop onto nonstick cookie sheets {approx. 2″ apart}
  8. Bake 7 – 9 minutes, or until done. ENJOY!
