These wonderful walnuts with a touch of spice, heat and sweet also make a beautiful addition to your party cheese trays!

The blend of cinnamon, sugar, and all the dreamy spices make these one superb snack!

Spiced Walnuts Ingredients

It takes just a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Sweet and Spicy Walnuts!

  • Walnut Halves
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Cumin
  • Cinnamon
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Canola Oil – Avocado Oil or Vegetable Oil can be substituted

How to Make Spiced Walnuts

You won’t believe how easy it is to make your own spicy walnuts at home!

Here’s what you’ll do…

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Then line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread your walnuts out on the sheet.

Bake your walnuts for 5 – 7 minutes, or until they’re golden brown.

While they’re baking, combine your Sugar, Salt, Garlic Powder, Cumin, Cinnamon and Cayenne in a small bowl, and whisk until well combined.

Then in a skillet over medium heat, add your baked nuts and oil, and stir well to coat.

Add your seasoning mix, and continue stirring until your nuts have been completely coated.

Remove your coated nuts, and transfer to parchment paper to cool.

Then sit back, relax, and ENJOY your spicy and sweet walnuts!

Spiced Walnuts Recipe (Sweet & Spicy Candied Nuts)

Servings: 8 (1/4 cup) servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Walnut Halves
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Canola Oil (Avocado Oil or Vegetable Oil can be substituted)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 375° F.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread walnuts on baking sheet and bake about 5-7 minutes, or until golden.
  • While they're baking, in a small bowl, combine Sugar, Salt, Garlic Powder, Cumin, Cinnamon, and Cayenne, and whisk until well combined.
  • In nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add baked nuts and stir to coat with oil. Then add seasoning mix, stirring until nuts are completely coated. Remove coated nuts and transfer to parchment paper to cool.
