If you’re looking for a simple, no-fuss way to caramelize onions, I’ve got a meal-prep trick you’re going to LOVE!  Use this Crockpot Caramelized Onions recipe to create perfect caramelized onions every time.  Not only is this method totally easy, but it also takes almost no prep time or effort.
These soft, sweet, and savory onions make the perfect topping or addition to so many things like burgers, sandwiches, steaks, fajitas, pizza, pasta sauce, scrambled eggs, and omelettes! Â They’re one of the easiest ways to send the flavor of your favorite dishes over the top!
And when I say easy… here’s what I mean: pretty much all you’ll need to do is dump your sliced onions in the Slow Cooker and walk away!  Trust me, it just doesn’t get much easier than that. 🙂

Crockpot Caramelized Onions Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 large Sweet Yellow Onions sliced
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Pour Olive Oil in Crockpot. {this works well in an oval 5.5 – 7 quart Crockpot}
- Add Sliced Onions to Crockpot and sprinkle with salt.
- Then gently toss onions using tongs to coat slices with oil.
- Cover Crockpot, and cook on LOW 7 – 8 hours, or until desired texture is achieved.
