What You’ll Need To Make This Almond Joy Cookie Mix in a Jar:
- Quart Wide Mouth Mason Jar
- Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
- Sweetened Coconut Flakes
- Milk Chocolate Chips
- Sliced Almonds
- Twine, Tags, Fabric, Ribbon, etc. to embellish your jar
How to Make Almond Joy Cookie Mix in a Jar:
- Layer ingredients in mason jar
- Embellish with twine, scrapbook paper, etc.
- Optional: You could use sticker letters to make the words ‘Cookie Mix’ like I did here
- Affix a tag with baking instructions, and you’re done!
How to Store Almond Joy Mason Jar Cookie Mix:
- This cookie mix can be made up to 4 weeks ahead of time, and stored in a pantry or cool, dark cupboard. After about 1 month, the pretty layers may begin to settle a bit.
Almond Joy Cookie Mix in a Jar
Equipment
- 1 Quart Size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
Ingredients
- 13.25 oz. Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
- 2/3 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes
- 1/4 cup Thinly Sliced Almonds
Instructions
- Carefully empty the contents of the cake mix package into your quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar, and gently pat down the top.
- Then layer the Chocolate Chips, Almonds, and Coconut.
- Put the jar topper on top, place a round scrap of scrapbook paper, doilie, or piece of fabric on top, then screw on the jar’s lid.
- Optional: Wrap lid with twine or a bow
- Attach a tag with baking instructions, or add instructions to the top of the jar's lid. {See Notes}
- Prep Ahead Tip: Jars can be made up to 1 month ahead of time.
Notes
- Beat together 2 Eggs and 1/2 cup Melted Butter {or Avocado Oil, Vegetable Oil, or Canola Oil} in medium bowl.
- Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
- Chill dough for 1 hour in the refrigerator prior to baking.
- Then, drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
- Bake for approx. 8 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.

Ugh….I hate phones to type with. You make so many errors!! It should say:
First time to this site and I found a ton of cool ideas!! For a fun twist to this Almond Joy® idea why not make it Mounds®? You can change the cake mix to devil’s food and use semi-sweet chocolate chips and scrap the almonds. This is for the one who loves chocolate and hates nuts or just wants a change.
