Cherry Chip Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Send your dinner over the top with a tasty grand finale… this easy Crockpot Cherry Chip Cake!

What?  Baking a cake in the Crock Pot??  You bet! 😉  Crockpot Desserts are as easy as they get!  Plus, you’ll love how it comes out SO moist and delicious!  It’s like creating sweet magic in your Crock Pot.

This sweet cherry chip cake with cream cheese frosting also comes with a healthier twist.  You’ll use applesauce instead of oil, and you’ll never know the difference.  Seriously… it tastes amazing!

Crockpot Cherry Chip Cake Recipe!

Add a fun twist to your dessert when you make this easy Crockpot Cherry Chip Cake!

Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces Betty Crocker Cherry Chip Cake Mix {1 box}*
  • ½ cup Applesauce
  • 1⅓ cup Water
  • 3 Eggs
  • 16 ounces Cream Cheese Frosting {1 container}
  • 1 tablespoon Sprinkles {your favorite}

Instructions

  • Beat cake mix, apple sauce, water and eggs together for 1 minute with mixer.
  • Spray inside of Crockpot with Pam Cooking Spray.
  • Pour mixture into Crockpot and cover.
  • Cook on HIGH for 1.5 – 2 hours, or until done.
  • Once the cake is done, allow to cool in the crockpot, then carefully cut pieces directly out from the Crockpot.
  • Frost with cream cheese frosting, add some sprinkles, serve with a scoop of ice cream… and ENJOY!

Notes

*If you aren't able to find Cherry Chip Cake Mix, just whisk together 1 box of White Cake Mix powder + 1 three-oz. box of Cherry Jell-O mix powder, and use this as a substitute.

    Love your recipes. When a recipe calls for more than 6 to 8 ingredients and 4 to 5 bowls or pots and pans, FORGET IT! I’m on to the next one. When I don’t have enough counter space to hold all the ingredients and it takes me longer to clean up the mess than it did to bake or cook the recipe, nope definitely not for me! I’m onto finding something easy but still delicious. I find that with most of your recipes.
