Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts fresh or thawed
- 12 ounces Sweet Chili Sauce {Frank's RedHot or Panda Express brand}
- 20 ounces Dole Pineapple Chunks
- Optional Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
- Pour pineapple juice from pineapple chunks can into Crockpot, add chicken, and cook in crockpot on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours {covered}. Place pineapple chunks in the refrigerator.
- After 3 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW, drain juices from Crockpot.
- In medium mixing bowl, mix together sweet chili sauce and pineapple chunks, then pour over chicken breasts in Crockpot. Cover, and cook on HIGH for 30 more minutes, or until done.
- Serve with a side of rice, and dinner is done! Make sure to poke a pineapple onto your fork with a chunk of chicken for a burst of flavor with each bite! Yum!
- Optional: If you want to kick up the spice even more, sprinkle with a dash of red pepper flakes before serving.

Hi Alison ~ yes… the chicken will end up cooking in its own juices that it releases. After draining the juices and adding the sauce later, you’ll end up with a much thicker more delicious sauce. 🙂 Enjoy!!

I doubled recipe 2 chili sauce,2 cans chuck pineapple, added 2 small cans chicken broth, and chopped 1/2 onion,simmered on stove WHILE I PREPARED 8 boneless,skinless chicken breast in glass dish (rubbed) in olive oil. Oven set @ 425 for 40 mins.
Added chicken to chili sauce mix and cooked low to simmer til time to serve.
