Hi, has anyone made this with FROZEN chicken breasts?
I have made this in the past and we love it! It’s been a while since I made it, so I can’t remember for sure if I thawed my chicken lol
    Thanks!

Can you use chicken broth instead of milk?

Would this come out good if i just chop the chicken into bite size pieces? This recipe is similar to what i make but I bake in the oven.

I use a food saver to seal my chicken into meal size packages with some leftovers for lunch the next day…4 drumsticks, 4 thighs and 2 boneless breasts. Is this too much chicken to use for this recipe? I am new to using a crock pot, I was given a 6qt pot as a gift.

I’m trying to reduce my calories. Is there to make this healthier by using half a stick of butter?

    Hi,

I made this yesterday. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of cooking on low for around 7 hours. Simple to make, and delicious!

I am going to try this using a sirloin boneless pork roast since its the only thing I have right now. This looks yummy. I’m going to leave the Swiss cheese off. And I seasoned my pork with roasted garlic herb seasoning. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

This looks delicious. A couple of questions I’m not a fan (nor is my family) of cream of mushroom soup. Has anyone used cream of chicken soup or maybe even Campbell’s broccoli cheese soup?? Sounds like it could be good!! Also has anyone tried any different cheese?? Going to be laid up after my 3rd surgery in 10 months and always looking for something quick that is still a “home cooked” meal. Let me know. Thanks

Hi Julie ~ Cream of Chicken soup would definitely work as a substitution! I haven’t tried it with a different type of cheese, but if you do… let me know how it turns out! 😉

I am looking for recipes to make in the crock pot now that summer is approaching so I don’t heat up my kitchen, and I found you today, so I am excited to try these new recipes. I am a stay at home Mom/farm wife, so quick easy recipes make my day at lot easier to get a hot meal on the table. My kids ask me why a stay a home mom is never at home????ha. That’s a very good question. It seems I just “turn my hat” and I’m on the road again running after my kids and helping my husband, but I love to be there for them and wouldn’t want it to be any other way, even though we love at “neck breaking” speeds some days:)

I forgot to thaw the chicken breasts for the Stove Top chicken. Will this recipe still turn out okay? Also, the recipe never said anything about butter spraying the bottom of the crockpot, will it stick to the bottom and sides?

No. It won’t stick. There will be juices from the chicken & cream of mushroom soup.

I’m curious to know the same thing! I love this dish – I made it last week – but am wondering if it would come out the same if cooked on low for 8 hours. Thoughts?

I cooked it on low about 7 hours. It was still amazing. The edges were a touch crispy. But it was still awesome! 🙂

For the stove top chicken do you make the stove top according to the package(water etc.) or just sprinkle the dry stove top?

Hi Glenda ~ you’ll just sprinkle the dry stove top on top. Hope that helps! 😉
