New & Improved Walmart Coupon Policy Released!

Walmart has an updated Coupon Policy and you are going to want to check it out.

We should call this the “New and Improved” Walmart Coupon Policy!

Here are a few examples of the coupons now accepted:

  • Competitors’ coupons that feature a specific item for a specified price {for example, $2.99}
  • Soft drink container caps
  • Checkout coupons – {also called “Catalinas“} that are printed at our competitors’ registers, have “Manufacturer Coupon” with specific requirements printed on them, a valid remit address for the manufacturer, valid expiration date, and a scannable bar code. {some frugal friends have even been able to use Walgreens Register Rewards at Walmart!}
  • Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.
  • Coupons accepted with Customer Service Supervisor/Management approval: 40 or more coupons, Any coupon over $20, or $50 or more in coupons in one transaction

Be sure to check out the entire Walmart Coupon Policy.

Thanks to frugal friends Julie & Brandi for sharing!

Frugal friend Brandi just used a $3.00 Gain Coupon on a $1.82 Gain 40 ct. Sheets and had the overage applied to her other items!

    THIS is so exciting! Walmart is the only available place to really grocery shop around my home and there are always such great coupons that i miss out on!! So glad to know that I can use them at wally world now! :)

    I carried the new policy with me yesterday. It appeared my cashier was not even aware that Walmart updated their policy. I am so happy we can now use competitor’s Catalina’s. A lot of times I wouldn’t use mine from Walgreen’s or Winn-Dixie because it would not truly be a good deal.

    Thanks for letting me know about this information! This can help A LOT!!

    If we can really use Register Rewards, I might be tempted to start shopping at Walgreens again. I’ve given up on them mostly for Rite Aid because they make the redemption of their RR so difficult. Nothing is more upsetting than getting “stuck” with RR because you couldn’t use them in the two week time period–especially with the silly rule that the number of coupons can’t exceed the number of items purchased. Rite Aid doesn’t care so long as you don’t go over the actual purchase price and you must cover the tax.

      I think Walgreen’s RRs program needs an overhaul! So dumb to not be able to use more than one reward/transaction either. :O(

    Tried to use competitor’s coupons at my Wal Mart today. Cashier would not accept. I had to go to customer service & a manager told me they had never seen the policy-any policy. She did give me my savings in cash, but told me “just this once”.

  7. Stephanie says:

    If you use your reusable bags at Wal-Mart they use to give .25 for using them. You may want to check with your local Wal-Mart to see if this is still in effect.

  8. Lori says:

    I was told today at my local Wal-Mart, by the CSM, that the Coupon Policy was updated on July 22nd, but it’s not on their site yet.
