I work in an after school program and we also made peppermint wreaths with the kids a couple years ago. What we did was place a ring of unwrapped starlight peppermint candies around the inner edge of a 9in disposable pie tin. Put them in the oven for a few minutes (just long enough for the peppermints to melt together, make sure they don’t melt too much!) Take the pie tin out, let it cool, and the peppermint wreath ring will pop right out of the tin. So easy and they look adorable!! We made them with red mints, green mints, and some that alternated both red and green mints. We also sprayed them with clear glossy sealant to preserve them, but I would still recommend storing them in a cool dry place.
