I’m not sure I have anything odd or unique. One of the most special things I have is a wooden music box in the shape of a church that plays “Amazing Grace.” My grandfather gave it to my grandmother as an anniversary gift. After they passed away it was given to me.
I signed up! Added Frugal Girls to my Google Reader! Thanks!
I have a really cool old pump organ that is antique. Also i have a really cool collection of OLD kitchen appliances that have been passed down from great-great grandparents and such. I love these old “decorations” in the kitchen and living room
I dont know if its odd to me, but it may be to others, but I have heaps of Kiwi and New Zaland stuff “discreetly” decorating my home

I also LOVE the emal alerts
Probably my weirdiest thing would be the old green sprinkler that is under one of my living room tables. Its’ my favorite color green and resides next to some green tackle boxes.
My husband took some old fence boards and made a background to which he attached my late Grandfather’s old ranching gear. There’s a Cattle Raisers Assoc sign, a hat, spurs, lasso, bridle and horseshoe. Our house is far from western and it definitely is the most unique touch.
I love receiving Frugal Girls in my email box!
I am all signed up!
We have lots of unidentified “findings” that my father in law digs up on his construction jobs! Mostly vases…they’re old and dirty, but he’s proud of finding them, so we’re proud to have them.
The oddest home decor I have is an old antique chair, its bold and loud but I love it!!

I would say it’s “eclectic” rather than “odd” but my knick-nacks range from a Hummel figurine, to a vintage German Shepherd vase, to a woodcarving my dad did, to a bowl my son turned in woodshop (gorgeous!) to a Hindu statue, and even a wreath made of feathers (bought at Kirklands Home)! All have meaning to me and make me happy to see them out in my home.
We have a large Mr. Potato Head on a shelf in the living room.
nothing really odd or unique, but i do have tons and tons of “grapes” decorations. i collect grapes so everywhere around my house is little grape trinkets.
I am cheap and hate spending money on over-priced curtains. So, I used really cute recieving blankets in my daughter’s room and a “recycled” shower curtain in my half-bath!

I don’t really have anything unique or odd but I have tons of pictures of my two boys. My husband just remodeled our basement and I need to shop for decorations to spruce it up! Please consider me, thank you!
My hutch in the kitchen is loaded with glasses and shot glasses from places we have been to.
we have this antique wirefox terrier dog (life size) on wheels with a leash sitting my the curio cabinet.

The oddest thing in our house is a set of Japanese swords that belong to my husband. They don’t go with anything in the house but my husband received them from his best friend. So I hide them in our bedroom.

We have album covers hanging over our mantle. We have two rows of three covers secured on strips of wood painted black with double sided tape. Really cool and “frugal!”
We have a hockey shrine in our office. It is dedicated to our favorite teams the L.A. Kings and the Anaheim Ducks. We have pucks, mascots, cups, ticket stubs, pictures, jerseys and we do this in hope that the hockey gods will bless our teams! It is a great conversation piece as well! Thanks! This was fun!
I have a collection of old schmidt music boxes!
We have a nice variety of odd decorations in our home, thanks to me doing a good bit of world travel before my husband and I were married (and our honeymoon in Paris!). One of my favorite things that is pretty odd actually came from our honeymoon. We flew KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) to Amsterdam, and when we told them we were on our honeymoon, the flight attendant brought us gifts, including these little porcelain painted Dutch houses that had liqueur in them. We drank the liqueur, and now the Dutch houses sit in a place of honor in our living room!
It’s not really odd or unique, but i have a collection of decorative plates that use to be my grandfather’s. He had plates in ever room in their house and this was always my favorite colletion that he had.
and I am an email subscriber!!! : )
We have a naked mermaid gnome my roommate made in ceramics in seventh grade.

I think my oddedst decor if the wooden plaque my mother gave me: One reads:”I smile because I am your Mother and Laugh because there is nothing you could do about it.” I have another I refuse to display because of the language. Does she REALLY want my guests to know that side of her?? lol

I have a colletion of clown figurines that were my dad’s before he passed away. Not real sure what to do with them. They were very special to him so I want to keep them.
Well, I don’t really have an odd decoration in my home. I’m looking forward to getting to set up house for the first time in September of this year because I’ll be getting married!
