We all love a good recipe from Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, and this recipe sure won’t let you down!
As you know, I met Ree back in November, and she’s as sweet as can be! When chatting with her about recipes and The Frugal Girls site, she was excited to hear I’d be including some of her very own tasty recipes right here for you!
This recipe comes from her must-have {seriously, you’ll love this} new cookbook ~ The Pioneer Woman Cooks…
- One 14.5 oz can Black Olives, drained
- One 6 oz. jar Pimiento-Stuffed Green Olives, drained
- 2 Green onions
- 1/2 lb. {1 stick} Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise {real mayo ~ no substitutions}
- 1 pound Monterey Jack Cheese, grated
- 1 loaf crusty French Bread
What You’ll Do:
Place the black olives on a cutting board…
Place the green olives on the cutting board…
Now it’s time to chop these roughly…
Slice the green onions, and {you guessed it} chop roughly…
… then in a large bowl, combine Butter, Mayo, Grated Cheese, Chopped Olives and Green Onions…
Stir it all up until thoroughly combined…
… and slice in half lengthwise.
Spread the mixture in an even layer on each half…
Bake on a cookie sheet for 20 – 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and beginning to bubble…
Cut into diagonal slices and serve immediately… yum!
More delicious recipes are on the way… so stay tuned!

We've had this before and made it New Year's Eve for one of our munchies. YUM!
We just made this last night from
The Pioneer Woman cookbook, it is soo
good!!!!!!!!!!
OK after I saw this and I had drooled for about an hour I went to the store bought all the stuff came home and forgot the green onions. So I caramelized brown onions instead. I am one happy girl. Yum! Thanks I should have really just smother the cheese, butter and all the other goodness on my thighs because I ate it all!!
That looks and sounds so good, minus the green olives though. I'm going to try this one out for my family!
Thanks for sharing!
I tried it out last night (minus the green olives) and my family loved it!
OMG – that looks amazingly delicious!!!
I tried this recipe from Ree's site and oh my, it makes huge portions and it is pretty cheap. Sadly, I am the only olive lover in the house and what I couldn't stuff in my tummy or store in my cheeks went to waste. But oh boy was it delicious! I am going to make it again, but this time I will make a small batch and just put it on Texas Garlic Toast, that you can buy in the freezer section.
