In addition to the great Freebies & Deals you can get each week at Wal-Mart, did you know that they also price match competitor’s ads?
If you’re making a trip to Wal-Mart, grab some current competitor’s ads and bring them along with you. That way, you’ll be able to price match items {even produce, etc.} without having to make stops at other stores. It just may save you a bit of time!

wow. so i'm confused. what DO they honor!
and i was wondering, what do you say when you are told at checkout the following;
product was one travel size Tide detergent for 0.97
coupon was for 1.00 ANY size
they first said they don't allow coupons on travel size (what would u have said?)
then she said they/walmart wouldn't allow me to use that coupon because the item was cheaper than the coupon. that they wouldn't get reimbursed for it or the .03 difference.
what would u said to that?
i have used coupons at walmart before that were 3.50 and the item was 3.00. they didn't take issue with it then.
i just get so flustered in the moment, so i was wondering what you would say.
thank you much!
Luann
i just re-read the walmart coupon policy and it says NOTHING about travel size. ???
on another note; walmart's price matching and coupon policy's contradict themselves at times!
I have noticed that when they are busy is when you are more likely to have more trouble with coupons! I shop and always use coupons and have noticed that unless it’s a straight forward coupon then Wal-mart is more likely to give you a hard time. I’m starting to think that they don’t really like to take coupons at all. My next thought it to try this price matching policy of theirs to see how hard it is to get them to match pricing.
I’ve never had a problem getting walmart to honor prices, but with coupons they are a pain in the butt. One store I went to said that they won’t take internet coupons unless they are printed in color. I was astonished, but I didn’t feel at all bad when I told the cashier that if she didn’t take my coupons then I will go to one of the five other equally priced grocery stores that will, and they even double them, then I left my heaping cart of groceries, which she had already bagged, and walked away. How ridiculous.
Please call 1-800-Walmart and complain about these issues! I was told by our local walmart that the cashiers simply need more education about coupons and if we call 1800walmart and complain they will provide the training!
