We usually have it plain with chicken as a side.

My favorite way to make Stove Top stuffing is to add diced mushrooms, celery, onions, and chicken seasoning to the stuffing and bake it until it is brown.

I make a casserole (perfect for summer) that has stovetop, diced zucchini, canned cream soup, onion and some seasoning. It's so tasty and uses up the zucchini that starts taking over the kitchen!
My favorite way to use stove top is the old chicken & stove top with mixed veggies, cream of chicken, and sour cream sprinkled with a little cheese on top. It's so fast and delicious!

New to the site, just signed up and I love it! I enjoy the old fashioned way of serving up Stove Top stuffing as a side dish to chicken or turkey. Can't go wrong, and super quick. Joanna H.
We love stove-top stuffing and we are constantly buying it. Our favorite recipe is found on the box many times. Chicken and Bake!

We usually only have stuffing at Thanksgiving, and it's my favorite dish for Thanksgiving dinner! We serve it as a side. I'm not that crazy about it stuffed in the bird. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I've always enjoyed stove top "as is" as a side dish, but I've always thought it would make a great one-pot meal if you add a package of precooked chopped poultry.
My favorite Stove Top Stuffing recipe is:
Chicken Somersworth
6 boneless/skinless chicken breast
6 slices of Mozzerella (or your favorite cheese)1 for each piece of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Stove Top Stuffing mix (canister not box)
1 stick of margarine or butter melted
place chicken in baking dish and cover each piece with cheese slice. spread mushroom soup over chicken and cheese. top with stuffing mix and drizzle with melted margarine or butter. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

I use stovetop stuffing instead of crushed crackers or breadcrumbs when I make salmon patties. It's great because the stovetop is already seasoned!
1 packet salmon
1 egg
enough stovetop to bind
Dust each side with flour and pan-fry.

I love adding stuffing to a meal at random times of the year, which really surprises my friends since they only think of stuffing at Thanksgiving. But stuffing is so good, I can't wait a whole year in between stuffing fixes! And my dinner mates get a kick out of having something "out of the ordinary." Brings back good memories as we create new ones!

Cornbread flavored Stove Top Stuffing makes great crab cakes! Make according to directions add 1/2 cup sauteed onion/bell pepper/celery mixture and 2 cans of drained crab meat. (Add red pepper flakes at this point if you like it a little spicy.) Let cool slightly then make into patties. Lightly fry patties in a small amount of vegetable oil or butter. Great served with your favorite hot sauce!
I like to add a bit of leftover turkey and some whole dried cranberries and rosemary into the mix before the water, it tastes great and is personalized!
I just like it plain!

My favorite recipe with stuffing is Turkey Stuffing Roll-Ups, found here: http://www.recipesformoms.com/2009/03/turkey-stuffing-roll-ups.html. It gives us the taste of Thanksgiving without all the work.
