I’m sorry about your job loss, Heidi, but glad to hear it was turned into a positive for you and your family. I too was released from my job July 2009 (Major utility co.) last year and have yet to find employment. I am a single parent and it is my 2 younger boys (my oldest is on his own now) & I and if it weren’t for my family taking us in we would be homeless. If our good Lord has a plan for me I’d sure like in on it because this being jobless (and vehicleless, due to unemployment) is not good! lol
This economy sure is a nasty one…yet I do have one thing…I believe. And I’ll continue believing and listening for my Lord’s whisper. (he may have to holler at the rate I’m going! LOL)
One day I will hear it and know what he has in store for me…until then…. we continue to believe…and hope.

Lost my job of 10 years last month.

In celebration, yes I mean celebration of my job loss due to a lay off I bring you this post. Yes, I am a little scared. Yes, I am a little worried. None of these emotions are going to get me through the next couple of months. Hopefully this post will ease your mind as it has mine in these troubling times.

So, as I celebrate my few weeks of relief from the stress of a job, I celebrate the new path that God has planned for me. I celebrate the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you.

You have an amazing attitude and what a blessing that is! I too lost my job of 12 years 2 weeks ago and have no idea what the future will hold. It is amazing the peace that knowing God has the plan all worked out brings. Thank you for sharing your great attitude and outlook.

Sometimes I think we need these big shake-ups to kind of jar us into doing things that we might have been too “comfortable” to do before….you will find your niche, and it will be exactly what you need!

LUV IT!! I also recently lost my job … of 8 yrs as a pharma. sales rep 6 mos ago & I truly think it was a blessing in disguise. I finally launched the company I had been "dreaming of" but was too scared to try on my own. I am happier than ever & truly believe that job loss=new beginnings too! Everything happens for a reason & God does have a plan!
