Summer is just around the corner… and here in Arizona it’s already arrived! This past week we even hit 103 for a few days… HOT!
Every summer we spend a huge amount of time in the pool trying to stay cool. But what about all that sun exposure?? That’s where UV Skinz can come into play! UV Skinz recently sent me this sun protection shirt for my son to put to the test…
He has been wearing it when he swims and out in the intense sun. Sun protection shirts can be very hard to come by, and in the past I had purchased them either on a beach vacation from a small souvenir shop or mostly from Old Navy. The quality of the UV Skinz shirts is noticeably better than anything we’ve had in the past. As a skin cancer prevention, it’s so important to prevent serious sunburns, so I also feel great knowing my little guy is being protected from the sun’s harmful rays! If you haven’t heard of UV Skinz, it’s a company that designs sun protection shirts that have a 50+ UV protection! They have shirts for babies, kids, and even adults, as well as hats and other sun protection accessories! Their products are high quality, comfortable, and cost effective if you consider the amount of $$ it would cost to cover yourself or your child with sunscreen.
The UV Skinz company was started by Rhonda Sparks, mother of 3, after she lost her husband Darren to skin cancer, when he was just 32. After the passing of her husband, she was determined to raise awareness about skin cancer and make an impact in protecting children all over the world.
We’ll definitely be using our UV Skinz all summer… at home in the pool, and of course at the lake and beach!

I really like the blue or black full zip-up. I think I could use it all year long. It would be especially nice to use as a coverup on the beach or when I work in the garden.
