This week I had the opportunity to review (alongside my boys) the children’s Read and Share Bible DVD.
This animated dvd outlines 13 classic Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments, including Adam and Eve, The Flood, John the Baptist, Jesus is Born, Jesus Loves Children, and One Lost Sheep.
It was definitely geared towards younger children, with cute animation, gentle music, and three minute long segments perfect for shorter attention spans. Despite the fact that some things were a little out of chronological order, I found it to be a great dvd!
I would definitely recommend this to others looking for a way to teach or reinforce several classic Bible stories to preschoolers or other little children. This sounds like something I think my daughter would love. She loves reading bible stories together at night. She’s almost 3…do you think it would be appropriate for her age or a little older?
My boys love their Bible stories at night, too! I think this would be great for your 3-year old! If you found her losing interest, you could always just play a few of the segments at a time. The animation is very sweet.
